Meeting With Pirosmani

“The Georgian a and foreign artists exhibited their works at caravansary. The exhibition is called “Meeting with Pirosmani II”.

Around 20 artists exhibited their works side by side 4 masterpieces of Niko Pirosmani.

The main source of inspiration of the works were the paintings by Pirosmani.
As the organizers of the exhibition state the chief aim of Biennale is the promotion of the genuine artist.

“The foreign artists expressed their wish to participate in the exhibition. Despite the late events in Georgia they arrived in our country and thus respected the great artist Niko Pirosmani. The inspiration for each of them turned out to be this painter. This very fact makes their participation more important, “-said Gocha Gheghleuri, the painter and the head of Georgian-German society.

The dialogue between the Georgian and foreign artists concerning the integration of the Georgian culture in the world art was held within the limits of this project.
“Meeting with Pirosmani” is held with the initiative of German-Georgian society.
